Millefiori, meaning "thousand flowers" in Italian, describes a method of glasswork involving bound thin glass rods. When melted together under heat, the glass forms a flower shape that is then cooled and cut. You can read more about millefiori glasswork here [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millefiori]. for these earrings, I took red millefiori beads and added gold-plated diamond brass filigree to them.
